Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) was developed in the 1930’s. This therapy is a light relaxing repetitive pumping massage that decreases swelling and can relieve pain due to injuries or post- surgery. The Lymphatic system is naturally disrupted during surgery. Lymph vessels are crucial for carrying away excess fluid. The fluid is then directed towards the lymph nodes and carried out of the body through urination.

Lymphatic Drainage is recommended to help drain toxins and free radicals from tissue. This will help with reduced bruising, swelling, and overall discomfort for the patient. Three (3) treatments are recommended following surgery.
The recommended post-operative treatment schedule for Rhinoplasty, Breast Augmentation, Liposuction and Mini Tummy Tuck is one (1) treatment per week beginning one (1) week following surgery. The recommendations for Facelifts, Mid-facelifts and Neck lifts is one (1) treatment per week beginning two (2) weeks following surgery.
