Ear Surgery
Correct the Position of Protruding Ears
(Otoplasty)
One of the most physically and psychologically rewarding techniques designed to improve one’s appearance is the correction of protruding ears, called otoplasty or “ear pinning.” For adults and children ages five or older, this procedure can eliminate excessive protrusion of the ears and dramatically improve the appearance of the ears with unusual and undesirable shapes.
During this procedure, the ears are corrected and positioned closer to the head through incisions hidden behind the ears in natural creases. The procedure is normally performed under IV sedation and local anesthesia.
